Our Approach
Wooden Floors Melbourne installed approximately 150m² of engineered European oak herringbone parquetry in the Dune finish, complemented by straight plank timber cladding to the ceiling. Particular attention was given to the relationship between the timber, recessed curtain bulkheads, stone stairs and surrounding finishes to ensure the installation integrated seamlessly with the home’s design.
Challenges and Solutions
The project required precise detailing around the ceiling cladding, particularly where it met the perimeter recessed curtain bulkheads. The flooring also needed to transition cleanly to the stone stairs with zero to minimal tolerance. Careful installation and attention to these junctions allowed the timber elements to sit neatly within the surrounding architectural details.

The finished project brings together a striking combination of timber, stone, tile, joinery and paint. The natural knots and rich brown tones of the engineered oak add warmth and depth throughout the home, while the ceiling cladding creates an additional layer of texture.
